Ginger Rose Block of the Month
Don’t you love the beautiful artwork, fabric designs and quilting patterns from Bee Creative Studio? Nancy Murty is the creative force behind this Upstate New York company. We are excited to offer Ginger Rose, Nancy’s newest fabrics and patterns in an 8 part Block of the Month series.
Receive a piece of the pattern and part of the fabric each month to create this beautiful 73 x 90″ quilt. The patterns for the bonus projects shown below are included too! Plus, members of the Ginger Rose Club are invited to the exclusive monthly meetings in Syracuse, featuring block demos and more ideas.
You may notice that Calico Gals’ Ginger Rose quilt looks a bit different than the quilts being offered at other shops. That’s because we decided to use the wonderful dark floral focus fabric as the outer border instead of the solid yellow in the pattern. We really like the way it came out!
A big thanks to Marcia Evans for organizing the Ginger Rose Club and stitching the gorgeous shop model. Join Marcia at the Syracuse meetings and make your quilt step-by-step, month-by-month.
Just $25 per month includes the pattern and fabric for the top of the Ginger Rose quilt, bonus patterns and monthly meetings at 9 am on the 3rd Saturday of each month. The $50 registration gets you in the club and pays for your first and last blocks.

Dancing with the Stars with Julie Burger
Oswego, Mondays, February 6th, March 5th, remaining dates TBA, 5:30 –8:30
Join Julie for this new and fun monthly paper piecing club. Create an intricate paper pieced star block each month for 12 months. At the end of the year you have enough blocks to assemble your own “Dancing” star quilt. Jump in any month and be a star! This class is for intermediate paper piecers—Paper Piecing 101 or proficient paper piecing skill is recommended. Fee: $15 first class, $10 each additional club meeting.
Fundamentals Block of the Week
Available in Oswego and Syracuse and by mail order
Just $12 to sign up for all year! Members receive a welcome pack with 3 complete layout patterns and a “Quilt Card” to help keep track of your blocks. Then pick up the weekly pattern and fabric for an 8-inch block for just $3 – saving another dollar every week. Can’t make it in? No worries – catch up anytime for just $4 per block. This is a great deal for a beautiful quilt program. Begins January 1st – jump in anytime.
Blessings Embroidery Club with Laura Abbott

Join Laura in this monthly hand embroidery club in its second year at the Harborview store. It’s been so popular that this year she has expanded and added and evening club. No matter what your skill level is, come and sit and stitch with us. Fee: $36 for the whole year of club meetings . . . and your pattern!
Jo Morton Club 11 with Laura Abbott

Popular quilt designer Jo Morton shares her distinctive style in a whole year of patterns featuring miniatures, historic reproductions and original patterns. Laura shares her wealth of knowledge and love of “Jo” things in the monthly meet-ings. A one time fee of $120 includes a year of club meetings, exclusive Jo Club patterns and 24 Jo Morton fat quarters.
Debra Gabel’s Butterflies
How about a few butterflies to shake us out of the winter doldrums? Begin with the Monarch block in February and collect a new butterfly block each month for a year to create a quilt or individual small hangings, pillows or little quilts.
